The Commissioner of Gujarat State, Department of Cottage and Village Industries aims to make the artisans self reliant through handicrafts, handlooms, cottage and village industries in the hinterland villages. There are various schemes for this. Such as Shri Vajpayee Bankable Scheme, Jyoti Gramodyog Vikas Yojana, Dattopant Thengadi Artisan Interest Assistance Scheme, Handicraft Schemes and Manav Kalyan Yojana. Online form can be filled from e-Kutir Portal.
The scheme provides assistance to the weaker sections of the society as a tool for small business and occupation.
With the help of The Ministry of Tribal Affairs, the state government has launched to encourage entrepreneurship in scheduled cast individuals and thus, improving employment.
The government will help these applicants financially. In conclusion, They can uplift their life and their families’ future by working for their own in whatever the location they want to work in.

Eligibility to avail the scheme:
Beneficiaries between the ages of 16 and 60 are eligible to avail the benefits of this scheme.
The annual income of the beneficiary’s family is Rs. 1,20,000 / – and for urban area Rs. 1,50,000 / –
