Prime Minister Narendra Modi made a dig at the Congress’s pledge in its Lok Sabha election manifesto to address income and wealth inequality when he stated that, should the party win power at the national level, Muslims would receive people’s gold, land, and property. Mr. Modi went on to say, “The Congress has [already] declared that Private Wealth to Muslims of the country.”
In support of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidates in the Jalore and Banswara seats of Rajasthan, which will both hold second-phase elections on April 26, Mr. Modi spoke at public gatherings. In Jalore, the party has nominated BJP State executive member Lumbaram Choudhary, but in Banswara, they have put forward Congress renegade and seasoned tribal leader Mahendrajeet Singh Malviya.

Rahul Gandhi, the Congress leader, also addressed the speech, stating that “the level of lies of Narendra Modi has fallen so much that he now wants to divert the people from the issues as he is rattled” following his “disappointment” in the first round of voting. Rahul Gandhi posted in Hindi on X, indicating that powerful support for the Congress’ “revolutionary manifesto” is beginning to emerge. “The nation will now cast votes on its problems, jobs, families, and future. India won’t be sidetracked,” the Wayanad-based Congress MP continued.
Saket Gokhale, a Trinamool Congress MP, urged people to “use your power” and file complaints against the prime minister over the speech. “The Election Commission has ignored the opposition and continued to give Modi and the BJP a free pass. During elections, the EC is not responsible to political parties. Additionally, Modi was criticized by Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh, who claimed that the prime minister “shamelessly lied” and made “insulting” remarks at his rallies in Rajasthan to deflect attention from the important issues rather than answering a single question on matters about youth, women, farmers, Dalits, and the backward. The PM was accused of “lying” by Pawan Khera, the head of the Congress media and publicity department.

“During his speech in Rajasthan, Prime Minister said, “The Congress manifesto says it will calculate the gold with mothers and sisters, get information about it, and then distribute that property.” The government of Manmohan Singh had stated that Muslims had the first claim to the nation’s resources, so they would distribute it to whomever they chose.
“The Congress government had previously declared that Private Wealth to Muslims has the first claim to the nation’s resources. In other words, who will receive this property? Modi stated that those with more children will receive it. It is going to be given to the spies. Should the infiltrators receive your hard-earned money? “Do you think this is okay?” he continued.
