Step 3: You must then choose the ‘Category’ after finishing. Options like individual, business, group of individuals, Hindu Undivided Family, trust, limited liability partnership, local government, etc. are available in the category list.

Step 4: You must enter your information after selecting any one of the options below.

  • Last name
  • First name
  • Middle name
  • Date of Birth
  • Email ID
  • Phone number

Step 5: You must enter the necessary data, then click “Submit” after entering the captcha code a second time.

Step 6: The page needs to be printed after you submit and receive a 15-digit acknowledgment number from the website.

The Process to Apply For PAN Card Offline

The steps to apply for a PAN card using offline procedures are as follows:

Step 1: You can either visit any Income Tax PAN service center run by UTIISL or download the Form 49A from the Income Tax Department of India’s official website.

Step 2: Complete the form on all eight pages, filling out each section.

Step 3: You must send the application form along with a demand draft for Rs. 107, inclusive of tax, after it has been finished.

Step 4: An additional fee of Rs. 887 must be paid if the PAN application needs to be delivered outside of India.

Step 5: The form must be sent to INCOME TAX PAN SERVICES UNIT (Managed by Protean eGov Technologies Limited e-Governance, Infrastructure Limited), 5th Floor, Mantri Sterling, Plot No. 341, Survey No. 997/8, Model Colony, Near Deep Bungalow Chowk, Pune – 411 016 along with a copy of your identification and proof of address.

How to Apply For New PAN Card in Case of Loss?

If you’ve misplaced your PAN card, you can request a replacement by going to the Protean eGov Technologies Limited website. You can access the “Reprint of PAN Card” option from the home page. If you already have a PAN card and number assigned to you but have lost or misplaced the original copy, you can choose this option.

Here are the actions you need to do to apply for the same:

  • Go to the Protean eGov Technologies Limited (previously NSDL) website.
  • Under the heading “Reprint of PAN Card,” select “Apply Now.”
  • If you are a registered user of Protean eGov Technologies Limited (previously NSDL), you have the option of selecting “Apply Now” or “Registered User.”
  • If you are a registered user, you must input your Temporary Token Number in addition to your email address, phone number, date of birth, and the captcha code before clicking the “submit” button.
  • You must enter your information under the “apply online” option, including your first and last names, the application type and category, your phone number, date of birth, and email address.
  • Click “submit” after adding the captcha code.
  • You will be given a token number, which you must keep for your records.
  • On the same page, input the necessary information to request a new print of your PAN card.
