The state education department has declared the academic calendar for 2022-23
Through a notification dated May 19. As per the calendar, state universities will have to begin the admission process for first year students on June 1 and complete it by June 22.
The colleges affiliated to state universities will have to begin the first semester of undergraduate and postgraduate courses by June 23. The calendar is not applicable to medical colleges and pharmacy colleges. The remaining branches and universities can make minor changes to the schedule to suit their convenience.
As per the calendar, colleges will have to begin semesters 3 and 5 for undergraduate courses and semester 3 by June 15 and complete it by December 14. During the first term, colleges have to conduct educational activities for 132 days.
The universities have 21 days of Diwali vacation starting from October 19 and 45 days of summer vacation beginning from May 1 next year. All universities are expected to follow this uniform vacation schedule.
